At the registration process you have two account type options. Mingle Single or Date With A Mate (you are able to sign up for both accounts).

Mingle Single Account

If you choose Mingle Single, the registration forms will ask for information about yourself and once you have created your profile, you will be able to contact other members. Remember to add photos, as this will increase your success rate substantially. Keep your profile light-hearted and just be yourself. You will only be able to contact other members who have signed up with this account type.

Date With A Mate Account

If you choose account type Date With A Mate, the registration forms will ask for information about both you and the friend you are signing up with. Once your profile is created, you will both have access to the one account, so will be able to see exactly what messages each other has been sending out to perspective dates! You’re mates, so you should have nothing to hide, right? Again, make sure you both add pictures to increase your chances of success and why not write each other’s profile, but keep it clean! You will only be able to contact other members who have signed up with this account type.

Can I sign up for both account types?

Yes. Any member is allowed to sign up for both account types, so the option is there for you to date alone or with your friends, however you feel most comfortable. Remember, it’s 100% FREE so you have nothing to lose.

Going Abroad Feature

Once you are signed up under either account type, you will notice a Going Abroad button on your account homepage. This feature allows you to enter the dates and destination of your travel and then you will automatically appear in that city’s search results for those dates. This enables you and other members to see who else is in town and potentially arrange to meet up – why not explore the place together?!. Also, if you are looking to brush up on your language skills whilst away, why not arrange to meet up with someone from the place of your destination! This website can be viewed in many different languages so don’t be shy. Also look out for other members who are travelling and appear in your search results – if it looks like you share the same interests, why not show them around your town!

Chat, Forums,Groups and Blogs

Once you have signed up, you will be able to interact with other members in a number of ways. You can join members in the live chat area, take a look at what is being discussed and join in. Also, you can join in the forums, where topics range from love to sport and help with writing your profile to health & fitness. There are numerous topics, so get involved. If you want a new topic added, please email us at support@datewithamate.com and we will put it on the site. You can create your own groups for members to join. Whatever your hobby is or something you feel strongly about, see if other members share the same view. Finally, start your own blog and let people know what you are up to or what is on your mind!
